Privacy policy

Effective November 3, 2026

The short version: Cue Cardio doesn’t collect, store or share any personal data. There are no accounts, ads, analytics or trackers. Your rides, settings and paired sensors stay on your iPhone.

Who we are

Cue Cardio is an iPhone app and website operated by Luke Chambers (“we”, “us”). Questions about this policy go to support@cuecardio.com.

This policy covers the Cue Cardio iOS app and the website at cuecardio.com. Our free workout videos are hosted on YouTube, and YouTube’s own privacy policy applies when you watch them there.

What the app keeps, and where

Everything below is saved only on your device, inside the app’s own storage. We have no servers that receive it, and the app doesn’t send it anywhere.

DataWhat it’s forWhere it lives
Ride history: date and time, ride name, time ridden, segments completed and, when sensors are connected, cadence, power, heart rate (average and max) and the name of the bike or strap usedShowing your history, ride complete stats and which rides you’ve doneOn your device only
Settings: audio, cue volume, haptics, voice cues, resistance scaling, machines and favoritesRemembering your preferencesOn your device only
Paired sensors: the Bluetooth identifier and name of the bike and heart rate strap you pairedReconnecting to the same bike and strap next timeOn your device only

If you back up your iPhone to iCloud or a computer, iOS may include this app data in your backup. Those backups are controlled by you and by Apple, not by us.

Bluetooth

With your permission, Cue Cardio uses Bluetooth to read cadence and power from your indoor bike and heart rate (and battery level, if the strap reports it) from a chest strap or armband. Readings go straight from the sensor to the app on your phone. Bluetooth can keep working while your screen is locked or the ride is in Picture in Picture, so your ride keeps going. You can turn Bluetooth access off at any time in iOS Settings, and every cue still works without a sensor.

Audio, voice cues, Picture in Picture and Live Activities

Cue sounds play on your device and mix with, or briefly lower, other audio. Optional voice cues use the speech voices built into iOS. The Picture in Picture window, Lock Screen Live Activity and Dynamic Island are drawn on your device. None of these features send data to us. The app doesn’t use your microphone, camera, location, contacts or photos.

Apple Health

The current version of Cue Cardio doesn’t read from or write to Apple Health. If we add that, we’ll update this policy first, and the app will ask for your permission before it reads or writes anything.

Purchases

Cue Cardio Plus is a subscription sold through Apple’s App Store. Apple handles payment, and we never see your name, email address or payment details. The app checks your subscription status with Apple’s StoreKit on your device. Apple gives developers aggregated sales and subscription reports, as it does for every app. Apple’s privacy policy covers those purchases.

No tracking, no ads, no analytics

Cue Cardio has no advertising, no analytics or crash reporting tools of its own, no tracking and no third-party code that collects data. We don’t track you across other apps or websites, and we don’t sell or share personal information. The app doesn’t ask for permission to track.

If you’ve chosen to share diagnostics with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple may give us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. You control that setting in iOS, under Privacy and Security, then Analytics and Improvements.

This website

cuecardio.com is a static site. It doesn’t use cookies, analytics or trackers, and it has no forms. Like any website, our hosting provider may process standard technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, in server logs to deliver the site and keep it secure. We don’t use those logs to identify you.

When you email us

If you write to support@cuecardio.com, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply and help you, keep it only as long as needed for that, and don’t add you to any mailing list. Our email provider stores those messages for us.

Deleting your data

Because your data is on your device, you’re in control. Deleting the app deletes your ride history, settings and paired sensors. To stop a subscription, cancel it in your iPhone’s Settings under your Apple ID, then Subscriptions. To have us delete a support email, just ask.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act may give you rights to access, correct or delete personal data and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We don’t sell or share personal data, and apart from support emails we don’t hold any about you. To make a request, email support@cuecardio.com.

Children

Cue Cardio doesn’t collect personal data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If our practices ever change, for example if we add anonymous usage statistics or Apple Health, we’ll update this page and the date above before the change ships, and the policy inside the app will match.
